Court Proceedings in Adhikari Murder Begins

Chitwan,Krishna Prasad adhikari hatya ghatnako thunchek bahas suru. The Chitwan District Court has started hearing on the murder case of Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Phujel, Gorkha on April 16. Advocates from both sides have started arguments on the case after the district police office completed recording statements of Chhabilal Paudel and Bhisma Raj Paudel, who are in custody in connection with the case. District attorney Ek Narayan Lamsal began argument on behalf of the plaintiff while advocates Chandreshwor Shrestha, Mukti Narayan Pardhan, Bishwa Prakash Bhandari, Raman Kumar Shrestha, Prem Singh Dhami and Ramesh Kumar Mainali had argued on behalf of the defendant in today's hearing. The advocates on behalf of the defendant demanded investigation on the incident be carried out by releasing the arrestees on general date. Claiming that the arrestees were innocent, they said that the filing of the charge-sheet is a move towards derailing the peace process. Out of 26 advocates who have registered their names to argue on behalf of the defendants, six have presented their arguments today and rest will record their arguments tomorrow, Shrestedar at the court Bidhyaraj Paudel said. Meanwhile, it has been learnt that Advocate Dinesh Tripathi has arrived in Chitwan to argue on behalf of the plaintiff tomorrow. Earlier on Sunday, Chitwan district attorney's office had filed a chargesheet at the district court seeking life sentence with confiscation of properties against 13 people accused of murdering Adhikari.
